Black Forest Cupcakes

  1. Make your favorite chocolate cupcake recipe (from a mix or from scratch).
  2. Heat water and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer about 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and add either 3 tablespoons of kirsch or juice from the Chukar® Dessert Cherries. Cool.
  4. Scoop about a tablespoon from the top of each cupcake to make room for the cherry filling.
  5. Pour a teaspoon of syrup inside each cupcake.
  6. Drop a tablespoon of Chukar® Sour Cherry Pie Filling into the center of each cupcake.
  7. Pipe whipping cream onto cupcake and garnish with chocolate shavings and Chukar® Dessert Cherries.
