Cherry Tart Bites

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups unsalted butter, softened
- 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pure lemon extract
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup coarse ground sugar
- Chukar® Cherries Jubilee Dessert Sauce
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat butter for 30 seconds, gradually adding 1 cup powdered sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Beat in vanilla, egg, and lemon extract. Beat in as much of the flour as you can. Using a spoon, stir in the remaining flour and coarse ground sugar.
- Place remaining 3/4 cup powdered sugar into shallow dish. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in powdered sugar.
- Press each ball into bottom and sides of muffin cups.
- Spoon Chukar® Cherries Jubilee Dessert Sauce into each muffin cup.
- Bake about 12 minutes or until pastry is browned.
- Sprinkle with additional coarse sugar. Cool 10 minutes in pan.
- Using sharp knife, loosen tarts, transfer to wire rack, and serve when cool.
