Savory Cherry Wine Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 - 4 ounces Chukar® Dried Cherries
- 1 bottle good quality red table wine
- 1 Tbs cane sugar
- 1 Tbs unsalted butter
- Kosher salt
- Fresh ground pepper
Directions
- Pour a bottle of good quality red table wine (such as Merlot, Syrah, or Cabernet) into a saucepan.
- Add a handful of Chukar® Dried Cherries.
- Bring to a boil and lower temperature to a steady simmer. Simmer liquid until the volume reduces by half.
- Add 1 Tablespoon sugar, 1 Tablespoon unsalted butter, a pinch of kosher salt, and fresh ground pepper to taste. Stir.
- Suggested Use: Top rice pilaf, add to your favorite stuffing recipe, or spoon over roast chicken, duck, pork loin, or fish prior to serving. It's divine with our [Halibut a la Chukar].
- Optional: Finish with a twig of rosemary or parsley.
