Chocolate Cherry Dipped Churros

Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 large eggs
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Confectioner's sugar or cinnamon sugar, for topping
- Chukar® Chocolate Cherry Dessert Sauce
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine butter and water and bring to a boil.
- Add the flour and salt, stir until the dough comes together in a ball.
- Remove from heat and beat in the eggs.
- Mix until dough becomes smooth.
- Transfer dough to a pastry bag fitted with a medium or large star tip.
- Pour about 2-inches of oil into a deep saucepan.
- Bring the oil to about 365° F.
- Pipe about 4 inches of the churro dough into the hot oil and cook until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove from oil with a slotted spoon and set on paper towels to drain.
- Dust with confectioner's sugar or cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Repeat until all the dough is gone.
- Serve with warm Chukar® Chocolate Cherry Dessert Sauce for dipping.
